The Division of Decision and Control Systems is currently looking for up to two doctoral students with a very strong background and interest in physics-informed machine learning, mathematics, and learning for control. The successful candidates will join a world-renowned team on the interdisciplinary project: developing physics-informed machine learning models for control. We are pioneers in exploring the synergy between physics-informed learning and its transformative impact on control systems. At least one position will be in close cooperation with the leading global manufacturer Hitachi Energy with real-world applications focused on enhancing the transmission of electric power in high-voltage components. This project is also identified by Hitachi Energy as a priority research area.
